1987 grand wagoneer

Sunday, February 24th, 2008

Hubby was in Craigslist the other night when he chanced upon a 1987 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. He made me email the poster to leave his number and thankfully she called yesterday. We went and looked (actually hubby did the looking over since he knows more about cars than I do) and he decided to buy it. It needs a little fixin but hubby can do it easy. The body is still in good shape, no dents, no scratches. The carpet needs a little cleaning though but I can help him clean it up. The first time I looked at it I thought it was a big piece of wood, lol. Hubby was offended because he said it is a collectors item. Forgive my ignorance but a fine car for me is a brand new one He is now in the garage trying to look what the problems are with the jeep so he can get the necessary parts to fix it. He said we could get us a pop-up camper and the wagoneer can pull it easy. It sure should, that car looks monstrous to me. Big frame and dense too. I hope it will be up and running soon. We tried to look up online to see the selling price but there was nothing like that car for sale. Turned out that they stopped making those around ’91. We might have found us a special ride huh?

Miley Cyrus the next Britney Spears?

Monday, February 4th, 2008

I got into an argument yesterday because somebody commented that Miley Cyrus is Britney Spears in the making. I was disgusted at how people can say mean things like that when they don’t even know the person they are talking about personally. I guess because she is famous that some people are just jealous of her. I personally like the relationship that Miley has with her father. I think that is a huge difference between what Britney had and is still going through. This is the only time that Britney’s dad stepped on and tried to help, if you can call it that. He stayed in the background and waited until his daughter has suffered a lot. While Miley is closely working with her dad. You can really tell by the way she acts that her father has a huge influence on her. Sure, people make mistakes. Some are reparable others are not. But to say that somebody is headed to disaster is bad. Let’s give them the benefit of a doubt. Don’t judge. I personally hope Britney will recover from her downfall and emerge a new person, responsible and smart. As for Miley, to continue being a good kid and learn from other celebrities’ mistake.
