going gaga over Filipino tv series

Friday, March 28th, 2008

I have been addicted to filipino television series even when I was in PI. I would diligently watch my favorites. Mind you there were a few. I love to watch most GMA7 shows but there are also shows from ABS-CBN that I like. I am not affected by the network war I may favor the former channel but it isn’t enough reason not to watch good shows from the latter. When I was in PI when I held the remote everybody complained that they got dizzy. They should really have been grateful that since nobody agreed to watch just one channel so I did them a favor by switching between commercials. Multi-tasking again. But not everybody was happy with it.

Anyways, back to my shows. When I got here hubby subscribed to both Pinoytv and TFC so his filipina will not get bored when she was left at home when he was at work. I loved it at first. I would have both televisions on when hubby was at work so wherever I was at the house I can watch my shows. After sometime though it got boring and when I think about the bill on top of the basic cable bill I thought it was too much. So when we transferred in the south I didn’t subscribe to the filipino channels anymore. I got resourceful and searched for forums and sites where I can watch my favorite shows without having to pay for anything. Anong panama ng pirated? But hey, the purpose of this shows being uploaded on the internet is for people like me who are not in PI to get updated on shows and happenings in there. I am very grateful for the people who made this possible. Thank you so much guys. I never fail to watch my favorite shows everyday on weekdays. All in my convenience.

I am waiting for Joaquin Bordado right now but since it is not on yet so I will just do my things here on my blog. Gotta love being pinay.

shrimp fried to death

Saturday, March 8th, 2008

I just had lunch and boy am I stuffed. I didn’t know what to eat earlier so I dug on the fridge and I found a bag of shrimp. I debated for a while whether to use it to cook rice noodles or just fry it. I decided on the latter and I am happy I did. I fried the shrimp until it was almost burnt  The result was a crispy plateful of shrimp where you can eat even the skin. I love my shrimp that way. Paired with bahaw equals a sumptous meal. Oh, did I mention it has got heads on it too?
