girl talk

Sunday, April 13th, 2008

I talked to my girl friends a while ago. Actually spent a few hours talking to them. We always talk via yahoo messenger everyday but it seems like we never ran out of topics to talk about. Sometimes hubby wonders who I am talking to because I am either grinning from ear to ear or laughing so hard he thinks I am going crazy. We talk about anything and everything. Silly things sometimes. I think our husbands are getting used to us talking because when they ask who we are talking to we always give the same names. It is nice to be able to talk to somebody from time to time without worrying over grammar and diction and words to use. Hey we rarely use english words when we talk which makes its fun. It is easier to talk on your native tongue.

Anyways, I have to wrap this up and go to bed before hubby wakes up and realize I am not in bed yet. It won’t be long and it will be dawn soon and my boys are known to be early risers. I need more sleep so I can keep up with bubby during the day. Good night!

amnesia

Thursday, April 3rd, 2008

This is a game show that I am starting to like. I actually just stumbled on it because it is in the same channel with Wheel of Fortune. I think by now everybody already knows that my son is hooked on the latter show. When the show is done I just leave the television on even if nobody is watching. After I think two more shows, Amnesia came on. I like the show because it is a question and answer kind and because the questions are pretty simple. Revolves around the contestants life- childhood, parents, experiences, and anything related. It is really funny. And in a way makes viewers (at least me) realize that there are things in life we take for granted just because we have been exposed to it or doing it since forever. It is like a wake up call actually to appreciate things around us and remember every little details.

When I was a kid and pretended to forget my parent’s orders mamsy always asked if I had amnesia in a jest. I of course pretended I didn’t know anything.  That actually made me write this post. The word just triggers a lot of memory of my childhood. It was used as an expression though.
