upgrade

Saturday, June 27th, 2009

I called our phone provider yesterday to ask if our account is eligible for upgrade and the woman I talked to said it is. Which means both lines on our account are ready for upgrade. My phone is still working good but I want a new one and see if I like it. I ordered a Sanyo which is totally different and more complicated than my current phone that the husband asked if I am doing the right thing, lol. We will see. I can always return it and get another phone although I hope it will work fine. The new phone comes with another two year contract which I ran by the husband who said it was fine. We have a good plan and we intend on keeping it especially now that we can just call and add minutes for his line when we want to. When we get the new phone that is when he will decide what to get for his line. As much as I want a cool phone I decided to be practical and ordered a basically free phone. The husband showed me a blackberry which really looked slick but I am not ready to spend money on. I will be happy if the new phone will work good. I only use it for call and text anyway even if we do have web access. I should be able to post a picture of it next week.

DSC06908

We sold this baby over a week ago. The husband was devastated but we needed the money so we had to let it go. I did not delete the pictures so I will still have something to remind me of it. Now we only have one car since we let the stepson use our Jeep. The husband bought this monster (what I used to call it) last year and I had to spend hours just to get the inside clean before we could even get in it. I missed this car. How I wish we could keep it but there are things we just have to let go. I hope we will get to buy another Grand Wagoneer one of these days so the husband will be happy again.

What to do? Where to go? Should we follow our hearts or our minds? We are confused.

liars go to hell?

Wednesday, June 3rd, 2009

Lies never do any good to anybody, especially the liar himself. The problem is it has become a habit. And as habit goes, it is so hard to let go. Perhaps the person gets a kick out of lying. Or maybe his world seems a lot better when he lies? Or maybe it is something he can’t stop doing? Whatever the reason is, the person himself has to exert effort to stop lying before the lies come back to haunt him one day.
